Forrest Wood Cup – Day One 2016

Day one of the Forrest Wood Cup is in the books at here at Wheeler Lake and the word of the day was “grind”.As expected, fishing was tough and the weights showed it. John Cox grabbed the day one lead with 16-11 lbs. Second place Brandon McMillan weighed in 14-14 followed by Bryan Thrift with 14-7 lbs. To get an idea of just how tight this derby is the current top 20 cut weight stands at 9-12 lbs and 40th place is 6-4 lbs. One or two big bites will be key to winning this Forrest Wood Cup.
