While long-time friends Boyd Duckett and Dean Rojas both qualified for the Knockout Round of MLF’s Heavy Hitters event in Raleigh, North Carolina, both of them experienced painful injuries that cost them some competition time! At the start of the day, Boyd hooked not one, but both of his hands with a single crankbait. He had to call Dean back to their rental house to help him separate his hands before he could compete on Jordan Lake. Hours later, Dean also ended up with a hook in his hand. He had to come off the lake for medical attention because the treble hook was buried in his fingers.
