Square bills are an excellent bass fishing bait and are designed to deflect off shallow cover. The key to separating square bills from really good crankbaits, is creating an erratic action with random fleeing movements. Some baits have this action right out of the package and others have to be worked on a bit in order to achieve this. You will want to test them out in some clear water and see what kind of modification can be made to enhance your bait.
In this video I am using a Jackall ASKA that is a higher priced Japanese bait that includes a computer chip lip and high quality components and erratic action out of the package.
