Meet the “Hog Tie”

As the summer draws closer, schools of big bass are going to start showing up off shore.  We recently had a chance to test the Hog Tie Underspin from Hog Farmer Baits. Although the conditions were not optimal for fishing a big hair jig we had to give it a shot.

The Hog Tie is a hybrid somewhere between a buck tail and a underspin that fits the bill when bass are feeding on bigger bait. The unique blend of proprietary premium synthetics, flashabou, and Krystal Flash accents teamed with the willow blade make the Hog Tie a real fish catcher.

There is also no fear of the underspin wire interfering with hook sets, it’s titanium and very flexible. The willow blade turns with the slightest movements with the help of a high quality ball bearing.

We found success fishing both deep and shallow on a steady retrieve and also ripping it off the bottom in some pretty muddy conditions.
